SUMMARY:SoCalGas\, Stop The Closures! Public Participation Hearing
DESCRIPTION:Join us in standing with our siblings at the California Public Utilities Commission’s Public Participation Hearing to speak out against the proposed closure of 43 SoCalGas branch offices. \n\n\n\nThese closures would put more than 100 public utility workers’ jobs at risk and leave customers and entire communities more vulnerable when they need reliable service the most. Our voices matter\, and this is a critical moment to show up for workers and the people they serve. \n\n\n\nJanuary 26\, 20262:00 PM and 6:00 PMGlendale City Council ChambersSecond Floor\, 613 E. SUMMARY:AFSCME 3299 & CNA Strike
DESCRIPTION:Via AFSCME 3299: \n\n\n\n“Our bargaining team has called for a strike! Enough is enough. UC refuses to take our demands seriously. Instead\, they have \n\n\n\n Paid us poverty wages while increasing their salaries \n\n\n\n Refused to provide basic housing benefits \n\n\n\n Removed healthcare caps and increased healthcare premiums \n\n\n\nSolidarity works\, and we celebrate our UPTE siblings for reaching a Tentative Agreement! But our fight isn’t over. AFSCME 3299 is still going strong. So 32-99 LFG! \n\n\n\nTogether with our CNA siblings\, we’re showing UC what unity looks like \n\n\n\nEvery campus counts. Every voice matters. Swipe to find your picket line!”
