On August 9th, our communications team interviewed some of our Building Trades unionists to give us their expert advice on preventing heat illness. Unions are uniquely equipped as worker-based organizations to hold employers accountable to health and safety regulations, fair compensation, and ensuring that workers have the necessary protections and training to safely perform their duties, especially during extreme weather conditions like the recent heatwaves.
This is a part of our All Workers Have Rights Series which aims to empower workers to exercise their rights in the workplace.
