It feels like we’re bombarded with news every hour about something bad happening in our government or to workers, and it’s overwhelming. Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—are launching new attacks every day on the agencies that union members work at and where people get essential services like public health, education, and Medicare. They’re cutting these services so billionaires and corporations make more money, and pay less taxes, all on the backs of working people!
That’s why the AFL-CIO has launched the Department of People Who Work for a Living—or DPWL for short. It’s built around a really simple idea: We’re going to unite working-class people to stand up to these attacks on our lives and our livelihoods. We’re going to stand up to billionaires.
