March 24, 2025

Action: April 5th, 2025, 10 AM – 2PM

PALM SPRINGS, CA —Local unions are gathering for a rally hosted by the Inland Empire Labor Council and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 1260 to speak out against DHS and the Trump Administration’s illegal termination of the union contract which covers over 47,000 Transportation Security Officers (TSOs).

During the first months of the Trump administration, Musk and his unaccountable DOGE have slashed funding for essential services like Medicaid, Veterans’ benefits, and Social Security, and fired thousands of federal workers, many of which are unionized. As unions have been a major target of the Trump Administration, with the aforementioned contract termination and the illegal firing of NLRB member Gwynne Wilcox, the Inland Empire’s labor movement is standing with AFGE to show that a threat to one union is a threat to all, and will be responded to accordingly.

At the event workers will advocate to reinstate their union contract, share their experiences as federal workers under the current administration, and speak out against DOGE’s anti-worker actions. Workers and union leaders will be available to speak to media.
