Support for Abducted Pomona Day Laborers: Take Action Now

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Dear Partners,

It’s with great urgency that PEOC has reached out to us for your support. As you may have heard, on Tuesday, April 22nd, our day laborer members at the Home Depot in Pomona were abducted by Border Patrol in a migra raid.

They abducted about 15 workers from El Salvador, Mexico, and Guatemala. We were also able to confirm that immigration also abducted people off the streets of El Monte, where an additional 5 people were detained, including a minor.

Border Patrol had our members until yesterday, and today they are appearing in the Imperial Regional Detention Center.

We need support to release them!

I am reaching out for your support and to share the message with your members and other allies.

Take Action Now:

  1. Sign the Petition for Jesus’ Release from Detention:
  2. Call Imperial Detention Facility To Demand Release of Jesus:
    • Call (760) 618-7200
    • Wait on hold until you are able to speak with someone.
    • Use the following script:
      • “My name is __________, and I’m asking you to immediately release Jesus Domingo Ros, A#249-126-701. He has no criminal record, and he’s a beloved member of the Pomona community. He’s a day laborer who was only looking for work at the Home Depot.
  3. Donate to PEOC’s Legal Fund: bit.ly/jornalerosdonate

Thank you in advance for your support and for rising to the occasion!
