Due to the shameful actions of Trump’s regime and his Republican lackeys in Congress like Congressmembers Ken Calvert, Young Kim, and Jay Obernolte – Working people will shoulder the immense cost of Trump’s Federal Government shutdown.

Inflaming the healthcare crisis, forcing people to work without pay, and taking the very jobs that allow them to have the means to live is an act of war against the working class. Especially during this negative job market, all-time high inflation, and economic downturn.

The Trump administration has repeatedly made cruel and violent governance its goal at the expense of working people, immigrant families, seniors, veterans, federal workers, healthcare workers to push his Project 2025 agenda.

Working people are not political pawns. We call on Congress to fund our government, fix the healthcare crisis, and put workers first.

The Inland Empire Labor Council stands ready to support and fight with federal workers, contractors, and the 2.2 million Californians who will lose their healthcare during this shutdown.
